BBC Paul Jones Show: In Session: 3 Harp Legends
Hi, not sure if this only available to UK peeps, but the latest Paul Jones show is a good listen!
The blurb from the show is below.
Billy Branch, James Harman and 'Magic' Dick Salwitz - 3 legends of the blues harp in session for the very first time. Although steeped in the Chicago style of blues harmonica pioneered by Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter, all 3 of these great musicians have a distinctive sound and style of their own. Billy Branch has been one of the Chicago scene's most prominent players of the past 40 years since his early days learning his trade with Willie Dixon's band. Alabama born James Harman has long been recognised as one of the blues world's most gifted harmonica soloists. The trio is completed by 'Magic' Dick Salwitz who made his name over the 2 decades he spent between the mid 1960's and 80's with the J. Geils Band. They are also joined in session by one of the UK's most exciting harmonica talents, Giles Robson, who brought the trio together for their recent European tour.
