In this level we continue your tongue blocking study with the first of the three most important tongue blocking techniques, the SLAP (pulls and octaves being the other two). Our study song "Temperature" uses the shuffle rhythm and continues to add more challenging licks to your soloing vocabulary.
As you're working through this lesson, watch beginning students Hob Bosold and Sharon Barrett work on this material with me on camera. You'll find the review of material and their questions, and my answers, helpful in your journey. Once you've completed your study song and can play it reasonable well (strive for excellence, not perfection), record yourself and submit it to me (link below). Of course this is optional, but it's something I offer to you to help you along in your journey.
