'HAND GASKETING'
I was just thinking about the bizniz of making components relating to LORD MICROPHONE fit the best they can, upping the efficiency of the various parts in play: GASKETING.

Years ago I worked with a band in which I spent a lot of time playing hand percussion gizmos (maracas, tambourine, cow bell, etc.) along with my main chores of singing and playing harp. This was several hours a night, several nights a week. I discovered that wearing bicycling gloves really helped cut down on the wear and tear my hands were subject to. It became second nature to me. Thinking about it today, I have a very clear recollection of the physical experience and also how the resulting sound was changed by the presence of the "expanded skin" provided by those bike gloves.
This might be something you'd like to experiment with yourself. See what the effects on your grip and cupping might be. Bike gloves, golf gloves, batting gloves, fingerless or not. Latex, nitril, leather. Note: Even tho baseball season's underway I'd suggest you forgo the catcher's mit...
