Classes I will offer are...

Wednesday & Saturday:

High End & Speed Playing
- How the notes are laid out on the harmonica
- Move licks from the low end to the high end
- Work breathing patterns that facilitate more efficient and faster movement
- Speed patterns
- Licks that we'll work on in class to add to your soloing vocabulary.

Required Skill Level: Must be able to play single notes well. Bending is a plus, but not a requirement.
Required Materials: A Major Diatonic Harmonica

Thursday & Friday:

Music Theory for the Harmonica Player
- Basic music theory
- Scales
- Chords
- Positions on the harmonica
- Learn how to write down (transcribe) a song, figure out what the pitches are and write it in any position/key
- How to use this knowledge in your accompaniment playing (heavy focus on this) and improvising
- Required Skill Level:Must be able to play single notes well.
- There will be portions of the class where we'll use controlled bending, so it's a good idea to practice your bending in preparation for this class.

Required Materials: G, A and D Major Diatonic Harmonicas
