Tip of the Day: Killer Wa Wa, Tremolo and Amplified Cup
The more airtight your cup is, the more muted your sound is. The more muted your sound is, the darker your amplified tone is and the stronger the difference between your closed and open cup for the Wa Wa and hand tremolo effects.
To test the air-tightness of your cup, hold your harp in the normal fashion and then drop the harp in your lap. The shape of your hands should be the same as when holding the harp, minus the harp of course. Bring your hands up to your face and blow; wherever air leaks needs to be closed. You can do this with or without a bullet mic (just don't have the amp turned on ;-).
