Last HMW
I tried to comment on the last Harmonica Masterclass Workshop post in the "What's New" forum but couldn't so..........
I've signed up for my third one (in 3 years) and can't say enough about how this has impacted my enjoyment and playing. I've just completed my third year of playing - went to the first one after about 6 months of playing. Right off the bat, it is inspirational to say the least. Listening to what pros like David, Joe Filisko, Kinya Pollard, and Denis Gruenling can do on the harp is mind boggling. Then there is their abilities as teachers. Informative, patient and showing a true desire to help you play and understand better. Then there is the organization of the three week end. General sessions to start each day that gives you a 'theme' to keep in mind as you go through the day, all day sessions so you are not overwhelmed with a whole bunch of stuff but get a chance to spend the day on one topic and all the related stuff on that topic. And the performances!!!! When I think back about who ad what I saw and listened to - and this includes many of the people attending - it still brings a smile to my lips.
No affiliation here - I've paid for my tuition. I'm just so pleased with how these workshops have helped me that I want others to experience the same joy and understanding that I have, if they are 'sitting on the fence' It is worth every penny and hour that it costs.Keep in mind,I live on the west coast of BC so i's not like an 'around the corner' trip for me.
I'm more than happy to respond to any more direct or personal questions you might have, if it helps you make up your mind.
