Note from biochemist on how to stay safe
This note comes from a fellow BluesHarmonica.com student that's a biochemist. Some of this is common-sense, but we need some common-sense during these crazy times. I hope you all are doing well out there.

Of course it is very important to play harmonica in these difficult times. But unfortunately our instrument is not very “Corona”-friendly as we keep it so close to our nose and mouth. I think everybody should be aware of this and maybe you could give some advices in the forum like:
- Never use an instrument from an other player (which of course should also not be done in “normal” times)
- Wash your hands very thoroughly with soap before playing. Use a disinfectant if possible.
- If playing with other players: use a “social distance” of at least 1.5 meters
- If you have a cold or flu: Stop playing until you are recovered
- Keep your harps as clean as possible. (I have rinsed my harps today with warm water but Kinya Pollard may have other suggestions)
My goal as a biochemist is not to frighten harp players but these simple measures my eventually help to keep us safe and will help to prevent the spreading of the virus.
