Pants as harmonica gear??
An unpaid endorsement for KÜHL® "Resitor" and "Radiki" pants.
I've been upgrading my wardrobe recently, and bought a pair of each model. They're basically outdoor hiking and mountaineering pants, but with some features harmonica players will appreciate.
In addition to regular front and back pockets, both models have pockets on each side that are a bit forward-offset and lower. One works great for a cell phone. In fact, KÜHL® even advertises that you can sit down without squashing your phone. And they're right. I've tried it.
The other side's offset pocket will easily fit two diatonic harps, even in Hohner-style zip-up cases. Or a chromatic in one of Suzuki's hard cases. (Tho' like a lot of things, like generic cases and even compact cars, it won't fit the steamer trunk that Hohner supplies with its CX12 chromatics.)
So you can walk down the street with a backing track playing on your phone, while taking your harp out of the other pocket and playing away.
The Resistor model also has a guitar pick pocket. (What civilians call a "watch pocket.") The Radiki does not.
And to top it all off, the fabric for each is a bit stretchy. Which is great for us older guys whose bodies are getting a bit stretchy.
Clothes may not "make the man" (or woman), but it would seem that the right clothes can improve your harmonica life! Who knew?
