SWITCHCRAFT ROLE REVERSAL
The SWITCHCRAFT 332A adaptor is a common sight on many a harpmic equipped with a thread-on output connector and a common component in many a tin sandwich jockey's bag of tools and tricks. There's another great reason for keeping them handy: If you love to monkey with the old "LUNCHBOX" and "TOASTER" P.A. amps (such as MASCOs) when you come across them, you'll often find that in their virgin unmodified state they won't offer you an accommodating 1/4" jack to plug your mic into as they were built at a time when such things as connectors weren't particularly standardized and phone plugs hadn't become the norm. What you'll typically find is the equivalent of the SWITCHCRAFT 2501MP, the chassis-mounted thread-on connector. Thus, many a field purchase of a vintage amp is made without a test drive. HOWEVER: Carry a SWITCHCRAFT 332A, thread it onto the amp's mic input, plug your mic in, and rip it up...
