Trossingen Day 1
Flight from London to Stuttgart, Germany... tube to the main rail station... Stuttgart to Rottweil... Rottweil to Trossingen... and finally to the Hotel Baron for Steve Baker's Harmonica Masters Workshop (Steve and the Town of Trossingen with the assistance and support of Hohner Harmonicas). This is my fifth time to Trossingen so I went right to work getting the things from the local stores that I knew I would need for the following workshop days. I went to the Hotel Traub for the traditional instructor/staff dinner meeting where we enjoyed one of the best meals Trossingen has to offer. At this meeting was Steve Baker, Joe Filisko, Robert Koch, Olivier Ker Ourio (Jazz chromatic instructor), Eric Noden (guitar instructor), Michael Timler (new Hohner's product manager... formerly of harponline), as well as Frank and Wolfgang from the city of Trossingen (sorry, I didn't get their last names). Info on today's workshops, jam sessions and concerts tomorrow!

Your tip of the day...
When traveling it's common to get chapped lips from the different climates you'll encounter as well as the dry air in planes. Keeping hydrated is important... so make sure you're always sipping some water. Unless you have severe chapped lips, stay away from lip balm, it can gum up your harps. The first song you play should be an easy one... your juices will be flowing well after that.
