Video Tip 2 - Highway 59

Today's tip comes from the second song of my concert set at Steve Baker's Harmonica Masters Workshop.
"Highway 59" is a funky minor tune in A played on on the G Harmonica in 3rd Position.

Your tip...
Notice how each solo instrument... first harp, then piano, then guitar and then back to harp... starts with a break in the previous chorus on measure 12. This is one of the most effective ways to start a new soloist... the break allows them to play, in this case for three beats, all by themselves and it's very obvious who's the new focus of the song.
