ZT Lunchbox: My New Setup for Playing with Amp through Headphones in My Apt!
I am so excited about my new setup for playing at home. I cannot afford a great big house with space between me and the neighbors or a separate studio to practice in, so it's me at home in my apartment, surrounded on three sides by neighbors. Side walls are pretty thick, but ceiling, even with the Audimute sound absorption sheets on walls and ceiling, is not tight enough to withstand me serenading my good-natured upstairs neighbors with Telphone Blues for the 1 millionth time on amp.
I've been short-shrifting practicing with my amp for that reason, and, because I can't really hear myself playing over the amp and hear my back up band at the same time.
Get this: the ZT, OK it doesn't sound as cool as my Wezo 45, but with the gain and the base all the way up, and some reverb, it's not so bad, and.........I can plug in not only my headphones but also an auxiliary output, so a 1/8" input from my iphone or laptop with the backup track, and there I am sounds like I'm live with the band.
They have 2 sizes: 1 literally the size of a typical kids lunchbox (200amps) and 1 half the size. I'm trying out a friend's lunchbox (Senior), but plan to buy the Junior for about $150.
