Hello Kinya,
I just received a toolkit from RockinRon's website. I have a Hohner Crossover Key of A and the 10 hole draw is not playing unless I inhale very hard.
Is this a gapping issue? Can you give me some recommendations on what I might do to improve this?
Thanks
Brett

Hi Brett, good to hear from you.
As a rule, the 10 draw reed is already set to close tolerances ... remember the 10 reed is the "shortest" (smallest) reeds on your harmonica; therefore, positioning your tongue as forward as possible, to reduce the air cavity in your mouth is essential.
To determine if the problem is with the player vs. the instrument--remove the cover plates, expose the bottom (draw) set of reeds, then--with the reed plinking tool, carefully bounce (start with x3) the tip of the 10 draw reed into the reed plate slot. Next replace the cover plates and play the harmonica--if it solved the issue, STOP and go make some music. If it's close, but not enough--repeat the above process.
Let us know how you did.
Your Harpsmith, Kinya
