1-big thing: APPROACH HARMONICA ADVICE LIKE TRYING ON CLOTHES
Hello Everyone, I recently read (m.manson) that we should approach "life advice" not as immutable laws, but rather like trying on clothes. It applies perfectly to getting advice on Harmonicas.
Why it matters,
a particular harmonica make/model (or how-to-play technique) will fit you well and might even sound flattering. On the other hand, what worked well for one Player may be a horrible experience for You.
Pick and choose your advise to suit your personality and the occasion.
Feel free to discard old advice any time it stops working for you.

... and don't be surprised if the harmonica model you played at the jam on Sunday doesn't feel just right for the open mic on Thursday, when a differnt model feels just perfect. Not only do most of us wear different shirts on different days, even after trying on and finding the "perfect" shirt, but I almost believe that harmonicas are living things, and react to the player's emotions on any given day. (These days in certain keys I'm alternating between Marine Band Deluxes and Rocket Amps. And I think each harp understands when I pull the other out for a tune.)
