Okay, to be fair, I see you and Rusty will be in the Mid-Atlantic area in April. Hopefully, I'll get to catch you at BB Kings in NYC, or maybe the Baltimore or Pennsylvania shows. It sure would be nice to have a few of these big combo events booked out east though. The best we get sometimes are the Blues festivals, which aren't quite the same as a good club or theater gig.
It's disappointing with a lot of artists to see 40 shows in California for the year, and just a quick pass out east for a couple of weeks - and a lot of them booked on stage three in a multi-stage Blues festival rather than a good blues venue.
Mark,
You Blowouts are always amazing and I look forward to them each year. See ya at Moe's.
BB's is an overnighter. I'm coming from Philly, and while it's only an hour-and-a-half away, NYC requires a commitment on my part to hang out and hit the clubs for the whole weekend!
On the other hand, I'm still thawing out from New Years Eve in Times Square. Between freezing my butt off and seeing Ryan Seacrest up on the stage - I'm still recovering. When Ryan Seacrest is one of the first things you see in the new year, you know that it's going to be a bad one.
See you in April!
P.S. Maybe on a future pass you could hit Warmdaddy's or World Cafe in Philly?
Unfortunately, I already have tickets to the Joe Bonamassa show in Wilmington, Delaware for that date.
BB Kings it is!
See you there. (going to be a great week for blues!)
I got an email from my band's drummer telling me we were going to squeeze in an opening act gig ( before a regular rotation) for "Here Come the Mummies". More and more often as I get older I feel entirely out of the loop - I didn't have a clue about them. Are any of you familiar with them?
Dude, sometimes it seems like y'all forget there's another coast!
Go east young man!
We're Lady Gaga'd-out in these parts.
