Hi David,
If I am listening to a track which has no harmonica playing, how would I find out what key the musicians are playing in. The reason why I ask this is because I want to start playing over these tracks by putting into practice what I have learnt so far, so need the correct harmonica key
Also, I'm really interested in blues rock, country blues and boogie woogie style of harmonica playing. What chorus forms do these styles follow.
Finally, as I move to the each level of achievement, the more interesting the information becomes, the mre obsessed I am at playing more.
Keep up the good work, blues harmonica.com is brilliant
Regards,
Paul
Hello Paul.
To question 1... watch Ryan Walker's Lesson 5.
To question 2... Chorus Forms is unique to the 12 Bar Blues Progression, so you will not see it in other forms of music unless they happen to be following that blues progression. Blues Rock uses blues elements, but not commonly its repetitive phrasing. Country Blues is either rhythm or melody-driven, and not commonly in a 12 Bar form. I have not heard of "boogie woogie harmonica playing," but assume it to be Jump & Swing Blues, of which Chorus Forms are used tremendously.
To question 3... awesome!
