Accompaniment study song

2 questions please - 1. In the study song I Want You With me (Accom study 2) there are no tongue slap notations. Is this song to be played with tongues slapping and if so, should I have automatically assumed that? 2. After I have logged in to the site, how do I get to my unlocked artist study of Jerry Portnoy, Blues for big Nate? Thank you.
Hello lhobdey.
1) You're correct, now that you've learned how to slap, it's assumed that you'ill slap most of the time... it's your default way of presenting a single note... you probably noticed it when listening to my playing example. With that said, it's not a requirement to use slaps, but I commonly point it out in students' assessments so that they can start thinking more about using slaps.
P.S., it's less common to slap in pretty songs (like "Walk With Me" and its sister "Feelin' for the Blues" for example) or when a passage is faster (such as a triplet figure in an uptempo song... you'll commonly just slap the first of three notes... the note on the downbeat).
2) In the email that I sent you for your LOA-L1 test there is a link in there, in the general comments section. Let me know if you have any trouble getting in, some students have experienced problems logging into that page.
