Age and Learning
"if there's still a chance for the older learner." from the tip of the day today. Hell, glad I didn't know if there was a chance or not!! Just into my 5th year of harp and loving it. And the author started at 38 to research this - hah!! I was 68 when I started. "You don't stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing"
Hank Stefaniak:
Good to know you were 68 as I am 65 and you have made me feel a lot better. I picked up a 35 year old Blues Hohner that belonged to my father in law. After several months of playing it I thot it was a little off key. I purchased a new Hohner Special 20 and I use a lot less air with a lot better sound. I never believed you couldn't teach an older dog new tricks.
Anyone willing to put 10,000 hours into the harmonica will come out an expert.
Age is a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter.

Well said Hank.
