Antony Dannecker

Hi Everybody

Has anyone heard of or used the services of UK customiser, Antony Dannecker? I've bought a few harps from him and found them to be excellent. If you are into the Hohner MS series, Crossharps, Meisterklasse, etc then you might want to have a look at Antony.
He offers the full range of Hohner diatonics, all custom built, and chromatics too. As well as tuning each harp, either intonated or straight to your preference, he also sells his own model- the Dannecker blues- which uses Meisterklasse covers and reedplates and his own unique rounded combpiece. I've owned one (key of A, intonated) for about a year and it's my favourite harp; highly responsive, clear, loud and sweet, sweet chords!. Being a long time lip purser just switching on to TBing beyond octaves through the instruction on this site I've discovered the true benefit of the rounded comb- so easy on the lips with TB!

The Dannecker blues is endorsed by, amongst others, Charlie Musselwhite, Charlie McCoy and Paul Lamb (UK harp player, check him out too if you haven't heard of him, plays some cool 1st pos!). I don't know how his service compares to some of the well known US customisers as I've never used any, but he is definitely worth a look in my book! Check out his website at:
