Hi David,

how do you articulate when you play the chording in the solo harmonica studies?

are you using only Ta-Ka ?

Thanks

Simon

Answer

It's up to you. You could use no articulation for a softer sound… using more or less breath for each chord to adjust the "bounce" or how staccato the chords sound.

You can also use KA or TA. TA is generally more common for articulation when your tongue is off the harmonica (non-tongue block). KA is the most common articulation while tongue blocking (which is not applicable in this case).

Experiment and see what you like.
