Bending harder with key of D than C? Walk w/ Me

I have always used Suzuki Promasters....and have been able to bend on the C but with the D it seems it is more difficult to get the bends going esp. on 3 draw. Is this my imagination?

You're just used to bending on the C harp... the D is not harder... just different... have your tongue a little further forward in the mouth... all bends will be slightly more foreword in the mouth. Keep at it... you'll get it!
It won't help your bends but maybe your frustration - I find the same thing with different key harps. SOme seem easier than others. If I'm understanding what David says it has to do with the 'natural' resonance that we set up with our tongue position. Some harp keys and reed 'fit' the resonance we set up in our mouths. I'm slowly getting them better but it does take more work on certain keys than others. Hopefully David will respond to your question.
