Bending notes that are slightly sharp
Hi David,
I have been working through lesson two on your site, thank you for putting together all of this amazing content - I'm enjoying my journey.
I have been working on Bending Study 1 material and have noticed that on bends such as 4 hole I remain a bit sharp on my bend such that I don't hit my A# dead on, although close. I also noticed that my unbent 4 draw is a bit sharp of B.
My question is, if an unbent draw note is sharp should I still expect to be able to achieve a fully in tune bend or will the physics limit me to a lower pitch which is also a bit sharp?
Thank you Lassiter, I'm glad that you're enjoying the material.
The goal is to hit the green square...dead-on pitch...even if it shows the note as sharp when not bending. In fact, for your bottom bends (1', 2'', 3''', 4', 5', 6'), your goal will eventually be to bend beyond the green...it sounds more bluesy.
With this said, right now, as a beginning bender, close is good! Keep at it...depth will happen with time.
