Best condenser mic for accoustic harmonica

Hello Greg,
Would you please share which would you consider "the best" condenser microphone for recording accoustic harmonica?
Adn then my second question: could you also recomend a more budget alternative somewhere in the 1k range that would still be good for harmonica (and perhaps vocals)?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, Angel
I'm afraid I have no experience with recording mics. My expertise is with live performance mics. I think you will get the best answers by talking with classical/jazz expert recording performers like Howard Levy and Robert Bonfiglio - both of them are harmonica Gods but they are also very apporoachable and knowledgeable. You might also ask a recording anegineer or two. Recording an unamplified harmonica in the studio (I'm assiuming that's what you mean - I don't think people use condenser nics to record amps) - is not all that different from recording a human voice or woodwind instrument.
I'm sorry I cannot help you further.
