BluesBlaster don´t work with some Amps
So i go to a studio with my band last week and it´s a new studio for us with good gears, etc. So When i plug my Blues Blaster Mic on a tube amp my mic doesn´t work so i change the mic to a dynamic shure and worked. So When i come home i tested my Blues Blaster at a Transistored Amp and worked normally
Winslow is spot on. A good device to have for impedance matching is the kinder maximizer. Whether you're suffering tone loss from using a made for guitar pedal or just need to have your crystal mic see the right impedance. Impedance matching on the go.
Did you check the impedance of the input? Matching the impedance of the mic to the impedance of the input on the amp is more important than whether an amp uses tubes or transistors.
You might ask mic expert Greg Heumann to get more info on this.
