Buying DVDs from harmonicmasterclass.com
I'm sorry if this posted in the wrong forum, but the "contact us" on this site is broken. And the "contact us" on the harmonicmasterclass has an invalid email address (email bounces).
I love the site and I'm excited to learn more but I have a problem with the videos. I'm a deployed Marine so I am using the internet via a ship at sea. I can download pdfs and mp3s just fine (if slowly) and can watch some videos, but most videos will not load. (Even the short 1-2 min videos take 15 mins to load if they load at all.)
I know you author other study materials, and I'm looking into buying your beginner's kit on harmonicamasterclass.com but I have a few questions:
How much overlap in material is there between this site and the stand-alone materials? Can i get by, by ordering the DVD and following along with the materials on this site, or are they different? Will I be better served by getting the whole kit? I don't mind spending money for quality instruction but by the same token I don't want to waste money.
Thanks
I wasn't aware of the email problem... I'll look into that right now, thanks for letting me know. This is tough. I would say skip the DVDs and go for the books. Blues Harmonica Method Level 1 in the School of the Blues Lesson Series to start. Use the study songs on the site to work through your bending and tongue blocking. When both those techniques get strong get Improvising Blues Harmonica and Blues Harmonica Accompaniment Playing. Lastly, whenever you're in port watch as many videos as you can! ;-)
