I would not recommended soaking the bamboo comb in the ultrasonic cleaner. Instead try this:
Disassemble and place all "metal" parts into the ultrasonic cleaner
Depending on how many hours of playing time you have on this instrument, you will find the mating surfaces of the bamboo comb discolored with a pond scum green color (saliva and brass mixed together). This is harmless; however, if it bothers you, place the comb onto of 400grit or 600grit sandpaper. With evenly applied downward pressure, gently slide the comb forward/back until you rid the discoloration. The bamboo is soft, so be careful not to disturb the flatness of the comb's mating surfaces.
Use a toothbrush to remove Harmonicoccus from the slots and mouthpiece of the comb.
Re-assemble and enjoy!
