Cupping and great sounds

Im hearing you and lots of others have great, complex and very bluesy sounds. I would compare it when I played sax and a good player could make a sax "growl". I see proper cupping to be part of the key to that sound but it seems to focus on the blow side. When I cup on the draw side, I often see I cut off air and the sounds dont work. My draw sounds still sound elementary and not very bluesy.
Any hints

Hello Gary. When we blow, our lips/mouth want to open up... to, "blow out." When we inhale, they want suck shut, causing unwanted bending, airiness and stalling. Use a slight yawn... this this will keep your mouth open for those draw notes. Make special note of your tongue location... you want it low in your mouth (specifically the middle and back of your tongue), the tongue is what can cause good tone (lowered) or poor tone (raised).
