CX 12 Shells
HI Winslow!
I'm about to buy a Chromatic harmonica, in mexico Hohner is the only Harmonica in the stores, so I just have some basic options, Super64, Chromonica 280, CX12 and CX12 Jazz.
I dont like the big 64 holes harmonica, I feel its too big. I'm looking foward to buy one CX12, but since I know the CX12 Jazz has been treated with paint, I read in SlideMeister forum that the painting chip appart.
I preffer the mouthpiece of the Jazz, but that issue makes me take one step back from the Jazz and better take the CX12 Standard. Or is just for the care you treat your harmonicas?
Please Winslow, what do you know about all this things, I know maybe is a fool question, but I trust always in your knowlege, What would you recomend?
Thanks again for everything!
Greetings from mexico
Hi, Ivan.
I have not heard any reports of paint chipping on the CX-12 Jazz. The slim mouthpiece is very nice - for me it makes the CX-12 much nicer to play, Also, the paint makes it very smooth.
I think you have mentioned the answer already - keep the CX-12 Jazz in its box and don't use it to crush nuts or hammer nails.
