Daily Exercises
As a new student I am still navigating my way around the structure of the material. I noticed on "support mateial" under Sharon Barrett a link to "Daily Exercises". Is that strictly for her or is that something everyone should incorporate into their studies? If it is for everyone, how are the exericies to be worked on? Is it broken down by lesson level?
Terry,
In the beginning I found Sharron’s Daily Exercises as a good warmup before I worked on the solo harmonica exercises or the study song. I only did the exercises I could do and added the others as I learned their technique. My mind resisted playing the harmonica at every new technique studied, so doing a warmup really helped before going into the more difficult things.
The Daily Exercise is an easy place to start for a warmup. I now carry a note card with a few things that need to be improved and/or I have a simple song “Old Susanna” that I use to apply/practice new techniques to as I warmup. This is also what I do when I only have 5 minutes to practice.

Hello Terry. Daily Exercises are something I use with my private students... it's a summation of the exercises found in the individual lesson studies, as well as the Movement Exercise lessons. So, you don't need to use them, you'll study the material in the individual lessons as you get to them.
