Example 1.5 - Smooth Transition
When working on examples 1.5 & 1.6, I have such a harsh transition leading into and out of the 2+,3+,2+ or the 4+, 3.When I watch and listen to David play it, there is a smooth flow leading into and out of those sections. How do I achieve this type of sound?
It feels like when David plays it, the note before just lingers in the air which eases this transition. Watching the video too many times, my best guess was that he is letting the note get quiter right before he switches then starts the next one quiet. I've been trying this but still doesn't sound the same.Any reccomendations here would be fantastic :)
Hello FlatCapHighChee.... it's just reps, you'll get it to sound more smooth with time. You can send me a recording if you would like and I can tell you if there are any flaws in your approach/technique.
