Eyy, I'm new I've got a few questions if you got the time.
So firstly I have never used a harmonica and I only got my new c harmonica last month and I don't have too much time to use it during the weekdays. Could you please explain these few things:
1. The notes on paper
2. How to do thing tongue thing your always talking about in your videos
3. What kind of harmonica do you use
4. How long do you think it will take me to get the basics if I practice about 2 hours every weekend
5. I only have a 1 month free trial and I might continue using this website afterwards as well, how do you think I can make the most of this trial
Thank you if you did actually answer my questions.
Welcome to the site Zaidm. First off, make sure you're studying the lesson for the C Harmonica http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/c_harmonica_intro_lesson
1. The notes on paperIf you would like to learn how to ready music, you can learn how to do it on the harmonica here "Music Theory Study 1 - Basics of Music" http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/music_theory_study_1 Most students just read the TAB below the notes (+ means to blow on the hole number presented and just a number you'll inhale)
2. How to do thing tongue thing your always talking about in your videosThis is taught in the C Harmonica Intro Lesson (http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/c_harmonica_intro_lesson)
3. What kind of harmonica do you useI use Hohner Marine Band harmonicas, specifically the Crossover is what I recommend students use. You'll want a harmonica in the key of A
4. How long do you think it will take me to get the basics if I practice about 2 hours every weekendI would guess that you will be able to play all of the material in the intro lesson within about three months
5. I only have a 1 month free trial and I might continue using this website afterwards as well, how do you think I can make the most of this trialJust dig in and enjoy your studies. Learning how to play music is an art, it's not best to think about timelines... just get started and enjoy the process
Best wishes on your studies!
