Feelin for the blues
David Hi, I feel embarrassed to ask for your advice on this but I am totally stuck. Feelin the blues 4th Chorus bars 7 and 8 6+ 5+ 6+ 5 4 5 5+ 4+ 5+ I can do this lick, stand alone, as fast as you like but simply cannot get into the rhythm of the beat when playing it with the recorded MP3. I have put the emphasis on differnt notes but simply cant get it to work. Have slowed it down to crawling speed but that hides the rythem and doesnt help. Do you have any exercises/suggestions that will help. When I listen to the provided MP3 track it sounds as if there is a couple of notes missing/hiding that iI cant get my head around. Simply cant hear the lick in conjunction with the rest of the tune. When I play along with your on line Chorus 4 video I find i can copy you exactly but when applied to the MP3 it just doent fit.
A silly request I know but totally lost for suggestions other than to leave it and come back to it later.
David I have posted a recording at the video lesson page on the web. Interesting I also recorded you on the instruction video and its exactly how I have been playing it and I just cant get it to fit the MP3 version. Please dont wast too much time on it. I have to struggle through to learn.

Hello John. Record yourself (with an iPhone or something else real simple) playing by yourself and then with the original recording (just that section) and send it to me, I'll give it a listen.
