Hi David,
In the video from Richard Hunter, he is playing into a guitar amp with a low impedance microphone. I thought that it was expected to produced a bad sound.
Do you have any explanation ?

Hello Bod. You are correct, a low to high impedance adapter (in-line or DI Box) is needed to make this work.
Well, checking the second video tonight, it can clearly be seen that at 1'31'' there is something between the mic plug and the amp. It has to be an impedance adaptor.
