forScore Software for IPad
Definitely worth a look for IPad users. Imports scores, transcripts, lyrics in a number of formats using ITunes on the computer as the 'transfer' point. You can then attach a sound file from your IPad ITunes list and it plays as you pracise from the music sheet. Adjustments for speed are 1X, 3/4X and 1/2X. A sweet feature in the new version is that you can'train' it to flip to the next page as you play based on the attached sound file. Very easy to use and right now, its my 'go to' app for travel practise.
Definitely worth checking out.
I play other insturments in several big bands and one small group. Everthing is stored in Forescore and most are linked to many of the recordings of the band or anoter pro version. My goal with the harp is to get away from sheet music so I just play the backing track if I am using my iphone in the car or any where else I have the opertunity to practice without bothering anyone. I am a begining harmonica student but found Forescroe very helpful. If I ever play in public I will have my backing tracks with me on my phone and can bluetooth to a sound system but that is in the future. None of the bands use backing tracks and I only use them for woodsheding.
forScore was updated for the iPad Pro. With the size defference side by side pages are easy to read. Annotation is a breeze as well. This one seems to do it all, and well.
