Hi
What kind of chromatic is Gary playing in this awesome tune. Looks and sounds like it might be a 16-hole chrom. Hohner? Wood comb? Model? Tuning?

Gary is known for his tone. The lower four holes of the 16 hole chromatic are also real nice. I recommend you watch the first section of this lesson before purchasing your first chromatic http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/blues_chromatic_study_1
Hello Patrick. Yes, Gary used a standard 16-hole C Chromatic in 3rd Position, Key of D (what's known as Solo Tuning, which is what each chromatic is tuned to unless you specify something different). It's most likely a Hohner Chromonica, though it's possible that it's a Herring... I know he owns and plays a 12-Hole Herring. Either way, they're of similar build and tuning.
