Stumbled across George Winston by accident, I love his toungue blocking technique, absolutely amazing use of low tonic drone over folk songs. Sorry its not blues but it stil has that big chordal sound that catches me everytime. check out his album on itunes called "Harmonica Solos". He was taught by Sam Hinton and Rick Epping so great foundations.

Thanks so much for pointing me in this direction. I just love the sound of a ' droning ' low harmonica with a melody played over the top. I'll certainly check out his stuff.
As an aside, part of what I love about this place, and harmonica in general, is the willingness to share information freely amongst each other.
