Gettin' Out of Town - Rick Estrin
I've started playing Gettin' Out of Town by Rick Estrin at a small show I've started doing every week now.
It's a solo tune played on a low C 12 hole harmonica, and it's from the cd “Mark Hummel's Blues Harmonica Blowouts”.
It seems to be based around a 12 bar & I just improvise all solo's just to get it up and running.
It's a cool song, so here's the lyrics that I like to use below.
Hope this maybe of some help, for someone else.
Gettin' Out of Town (Live)
Rick Estrin (low 12 hole C harmonica)
from the cd “Mark Hummel's Blues Harmonica Blowouts”
(intro solo)
Gettin' out of town
Gettin' out of town
Oh, I’m gettin' on out of town
Gettin' out of town
I feel so bad,
The little girl, she let me down.
She locked the door in my face
Somebody taking my place
She locked the door in my face
Somebody taking my place
That’s why I’m gettin' on out of town
The little girl, she let me down.
(solo)
I ain’t gonna write
Ain’t gonna call her on the phone
No I ain’t gonna write
Ain’t gonna call her on the phone
Cause I’m gettin' on out of town
The little girl, she let me down.
(outro solo)
Troy is right Rick is using a Hohner 364 in the key of C and that's a low C to boot.
are you sure its played on a 12 hole
