Guitar music
I finally found a guitar player who will jam with me. I want to learn to accompany him. He is asking for tunes he can practice before we meet. Do you have any suggestions?
Good morning Roncw. No problem, I'm happy to help out. You would provide him the MP3's of the study songs you're working on and he'll listen to them and learn to play them by ear. The same idea with the classic recordings I mentioned. If he's a newer player, then he'll want to dig in and study blues guitar playing in a book series like this: http://www.melbay.com/Products/21057BCD/blues-guitar-method-level-1.aspx
Hello Roncw. Sure, first off, the study songs you're currently working on... and secondly, the recordings of our fathers of the style... Little Walter, Big Walter Horton, George "Harmonica" Smith and Rice Miller (Sonny Boy Williamson II). If there are some artists that you really like, then of course make him some CDs (or dropbox folder) of your favorite tunes.
