Happy New year, Harpers!
What's on your mind?
Amplifed harp is a new instrument. Mastering the instrument requires gear, technique and practice -. Of course, knowing how to play the harmonica in the first place is important - but not sufficient to be a good amplified player.
There's a lot to learn! Can you play through the vocal mic at the front of the stage? Do you want to use a separate amp? What kind of mic should you use? What about pedals? What about wireless? What's impedance? Bullet mic or stick mic? What can be done about feedback? Where does that big fat tone come from?
UNDERSTANDING, and answering these questions, has been my only business for 10 years. I've helped THOUSANDS of harp players, from beginner to pro.
What do YOU want to know?
Hi Greg,
Ok, so what would be the differences in sound/tone produced by different mic elements when playing through one of your Kalamazoo amps or any small amp.
Assuming good technique by the player.
As you know I have one from you and its great. To anyone looking for a small amp i would highly recommend a Kalamazoo from Greg. Not only is it a great little amp but playing through a vintage piece of America history sure feels good to!
Thanks,
Mark
