Harp Keys
3rd position study 4 requires an Ab harp - not something I had in my arsenal. I do have one now (and you are right; Jon does a great job!!). Now I'm wondering if there are any other keys that we would need other than the standard/basic seven (A,Bb,C,D,Eb,F,G)?? Thanks
David, are the low A, D & C all 10 holes or are some of them MB 12 holes.
The Hohner 10 hole models only go down to Low D, with the Low C and G being the 12 or 14 Hole models. I remember hearing something about some new low harps from Hohner. I'll ask and get back to you.
Hohner confirmed what I said. Plans for some lower harps are in the works. Seydel does make sub-low harps in a standard 10-hole size.
I have a Marine Band in Low Eb which is a very cool harp.
i have one of the hummel blowout cds that rick plays a song gettin out of town on and would love know if its a LOW D OR MAYBE A LOW C AS IT SOUNDS LOWER THAN THE D ANY HELP HERE WOULD BE GREAT
THAT MIGHT BE FUN TO PLAY AROUND WITH
You're correct, he uses a Low C for that.
ITS AN AWESOME GROOVE MUST HAVE ONE NEED TO LEARN THE SONG
Sonny Boy Williamson ll, has one you will like called "Don't Let Your Right Hand Know" in low C from his album Keep It To Ourselves.

Rick Estrin is using a 364 Low C... when I talked with him on the phone he asked if I had one and said I needed to get one. FYI... the Seydel 1847 Low C is awesome.
My set of harps is commonly: Low-F, G, A-flat, A, B-flat, C and D. A low harp, like a Low-D or Low-C is really nice to have.
