Hi Winslow, what are your thoughts regarding Hohner's VarioSpring System on the new Super 64X Performance?

The VarioSpring made its debut a few years ago on the ACE48, a 12-hole chromatic that uses wood or metal inserts (or Acounstic Coupling Elements - ACE) in the comb to change the tone color.
I haven't felt the need to adjust the spring on my ACE, but I know that in the past I've bought 270s that had wildly different amounts of spring resistance; some too soft and some too hard. The VarioSpring allows you to easily adjust the spring resistance to your liking, so I see it as a positive development, and I'm glad that it's part of the new line of 16-hole chromatics from Hohner.
By the way, here's a link to a recording I made with the ACE, using the wood inserts.
