Howard Levy School
Dear David,
I have been enjoying lessons on your site. I plan to subscribe. But the other thing I noticed is that Howard Levy's school supplements the learning of the harp with a focus on some classical lessons. I was wondering if I could pursue both these learning styles simultaneously. Would it cause some confusions? Or would you suggest that I stick to the blues method which is what I particularily like? Maybe consider Levy later. Because his Beethoven and Bach lessons are also something I am eager to learn.
Please advise.

I checked out Howard Levy's website a while back. I would think it might be a bit confusing if you are focusing on blues. Most blues is played in the 2nd position. Levy's Beginner's Lesson #1 goes in depth through all 12 positions. This was bit of an overload for me but everyone has their own style of learning.

Hello Sridhar. Good question. It all gets down to one thing... how much time you have to practice. If you have more than one hour a day to devote to your practice, then spending time with both would be fine. Since you said blues is your main focus, then you're in the right place... study this material for an hour each day. Any time after one hour feel free to explore what Howard has to offer.
