If Only Your Eyes Could See What I Saw
Hello Harp Techs,
I have been promoting the importance of magnification to Harp Techs for numerous years. The precision work we do with reeds is difficult to see with the naked eye--sort of like trying to “spot a needle in a haystack”. It can be fatiguing and extremely frustrating to try to find the cause of a clicking or stuck reed.
Magnifying the view of your work will help, for example, locate that nasty burr hidden inside the reed plate slot.
A new “must have” for close view work (and reading) the innovative near view adjustable glasses, “Eyejusters Magnifying Glasses” available from MicroMark. https://www.micromark.com/Eyejusters-Magnifying-Glasses-Tortoise
For me, my left eye is not as strong as my right eye for close viewing. Customizing the magnification of my glasses is a wonderful thing!
Your Harpsmith, Kinya
... I will definitely report back as soon as I purchase and spend some time with the Eyejusters.
...Those are really cool. Thanks for sharing Kinya. Like you, my left eye is worse than my right. The glasses will be very useful for me, for certain.
