Key to learning scales
Hi David
Some time ago I mentioned that was struggling to learn scales. I have finally broken through. To do so I made a computer spreadsheet showing the holes, notes in graphical form. Holes across the top. Blow, Draw, Half bend full bend on the side. I colored the cells and even numbered the Pitches in the sequence of the scale.
Then as I practice I keep my eye on the grid carefully. Now I have made that "mental map" and can pretty well visualize that graphic when I play the scales. Mastery is close at hand. You might want to pass that along to others.
If it would be useful, Ill send you a copy

Hello Gary,
I know everyone has a different way to remember things ans although mine may be different than yours, would you please mail me a copy at Angel_K_Georgiev@yahoo.com ?
For the moment I only practice the 3 essential scales that David recommends for beginmers. I just play them every day and trying to build muscle memmory in preparation for D day when it will all star making sense.
I am also slowly progressing through the music theory section, but that I must say is the most difficult part of my studdies: Turning the logical into intuitive, or in other words: having the two hemispheres of my brain work together.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you Gary.
