I stumbled across Little Hatch. It seems to me that his playing style is pretty approachable for an early intermediate - would you agree? I only find two albums in the music platform I listen with (Rock with Me Baby, Goin' Back).

Peter:
Thanks so much for your post. Little Hatch (Provine Hatch Jr.) wasn't on my music radar. I've found posts on YouTube, and see that his few CDs are in the "collectors" category, price-wise (and BlueBeatMusic lists them, but shows them out of stock).
As for approachability by harmonica players, absolutely. But when you listen to Little Hatch, you note his mastery of technique. He's a perfect example of why it's not the number (or inventiveness) of the notes you play, but HOW you play those notes, that is the difference between a pro and an amateur. In other words, tone, technique, and knowing how to get the most out of the fewest notes.
A real Son of Mississippi. Born in Sledge MS, just 30 miles east of Clarksdale. I'll be doing more looking to find his recordings.
Thanks again!
