Little Walter - Blue Lights
Hi David.
I've been listening to your playing of Blue Lights, History Of The Blues Harmonica Concert cd, and the original by Little Walter.
Are you playing the intro on the 1st octave or the 2nd on a 64 chromatic???
Is Little Walter coming on the 2nd octave?
Thanks
I believe he used his Bassman (original 1959) with a mic containing a CR element. I'll double check with him...
He just wrote back and he stated, "59 Fender Bassman & my 60 Fender Princeton with a Y cord."
Hello Gleidson. No, I do not offer the service. Follow the lessons diligently on the site and over time you'll be able to do it yourself.
If you're dying to dig in, you may want to try contact Glenn Weiser... he has done this in the past: http://www.celticguitarmusic.com/. To give you a reference point, in the past I charged $75 an hour, and each minute of music commonly equaled one hour of transcription work.
Hello Gleidson. I do teach in San Jose, at my School of the Blues in San Jose. Email me from the School of the Blues website (www.schooloftheblues.com) and I'll send you information on lessons. I don't have any openings right now, but I'll get you on the wait list and we'll go from there.
Fantastic, glad to hear it!
That's Joe Filisko playing. From 0:00 to 0:48 he's on a 280C (16 hole chromatic) playing the first octave... traveling down to the sub-octave (the hole numbers have a dot above the hole number to denote the sub-octave) as the phrase moves on. At 0:49 he moves to the diatonic.
