LOA 3
I had my first look and listen through the lesson plan for LOA 3 today, and yes there was one or two expletives!! I do share my journey on bluesharmonica with my partner and although she is not a lover of the blues she is very supportive.
I did let her listen to Blues Creeping over Me and on explaining that this was one of my study songs, I couldn't help but notice on more than one occassion during the song, her face contorting trying not to burst out laughing.....all she could say at the end was "you had better get away and practice then, good job there's nothing on TV you like".
Maybe she won't be laughing after hearing what sounds like some poor animal being slaughtered as I practice my bending night after night, at least I have to thank David for keeping the tempo slower........
alpur your experience is identical to mine. Thank goodness for a supporting partner. The fact she is interested is a big plus. Whilst Davids teaching method is brilliant his confidence in his pupils success (with time and practice, how often does he say that) is well founded. Whenever I struggle with a piece my wife reminds me that it is not the first time and like earlier challenges and Davids assurance I will look back and wonder what the difficulty was. The main thing is to have fun. Good luck.
You hang in there and enjoy those slow blues songs - I love them! Congrats on getting to level 3 and keep those chops/tongue muscles flexed for your good bending exercises. It was and is a challenge for me to hit them on time and in tune. Still need plenty of practice.
