Looking back... tu jump forward
Hey everyone, here's a little food for your soul!
I picked up the harmonica abour a year ago. My goal was to learn to play harmonica as a new challenge because I liked the sound and I thought it would be cool. Well such a pretty vague goal makes it hard to determine if you reached it! Therefore, I came to the point where I was wondering if I was making any progress or if I would ever get "that" good (whatever "that good" may be).
In order to restore my motivation, I tried to determine what I had learned so far and see how much progress I did have accomplished in the last year. What an enlightening experience!!! I listed more than thirty items. Now that is concrete, useful information to set my goals for the next year. Plus, it instills a good dose of confidence in my ability to learn more complicated stuff.
Bottom line: if you're in the same situation and wonder where to go from where you are, try looking back, you'll see why you can do more. You may also notice trends or patterns to guide your next steps towards what you prefer, harmonica-wise.
Have a good trip!
Very cool, thanks for sharing that Stef.
