Looking For Good Practice Songs/Tabs Backing?
Hey guys I hope you are enjoying your Harmonica.
I am trying to find good blues songs to play that would have tabs and maybe even jam tracks.
I have purchased at least 5 Hal Leonard Style tab books for the classic players, but I cannot understand their tabulature and maybe even the correctness of the supplied songs. It is really annoying.
I can play to the intermediate level, but I have issues with my UBlocking and my pulls. I am getting better but I can bend and do most of the techniques but have problems due to my tongue shape.
I really enjoy the songs that Dave has, but I am losing patience not with playing, but trying to find things to play.
Anybody out there have the same feeling?
I teach golf, and there are great drills and tips that a golfer can do. I am finding out that the Harmonica is a elusive instrument and that the search to find where you are on the journey is half of the battle.
I want to stay with Chicago Blues style that is taught here, but I cannot find anything on the internet that has helped me.
I have tried Harptabs and such, but I feel that it is not crossharp and the genre that I have worked hard with so far.
Do any of you have 12 bar blues songs with tabs and maybe backing that would fill in the gaps and keep me moving?
Thank you
Will

You might want to try modernbluesharmonica.com. There is an area where you can purchase tab sheets on some good standard blues tunes. You can also add a video of Adam Gussow teaching the song. The tab sheets are hand written, but not difficult to pick up, especially if you watch the video. I learned several popular blues tunes from there.
