Low F harp
I am playing Special 20's but since they don't make it in key of low f, any suggestions on another harp in the low F tuning? Are the Lee Osker and Promaster anything like the SP20? Maybe another brand???
thanks
If you hurry...there are two new Special 20 Low Fs for sale on ebay for $36 US with shipping. I'm about to buy one of them!

I'm sure the Hohner Thunderbirds are better (at around $120), and I have a Suzuki Manji that cost in the $65 range that is NOT better (in my opinion) . Seydel's are $90 and up, depending on the model.
Grab the last one!

I also have a Manji in D, which is not bad but I do like the sound of the Seydel Session Steel range.
I've just ordered a Low F so I can't say what they sound like yet, but my expectations are high. I already have a Low C, but only one, and only Session Steel, so I don't have a good benchmarking to offer either. It does sound nice though. :-D

After my initial post in this thread, I was spurred to purchase a low F harp. Especially after getting stuck at a jam session without one. I recently acquired a Seydel session steel in low F. I am glad I did since it was used on a couple of songs at the jam session last Monday. Really like the deep bass sound. Sounds nice when going through my tube amp on a tightly cupped SM57 mic. If anybody knows any additional songs to use this on, let me know.

Check out Seydel. I own a set of session steels which has a low F. I don't have the low F, but will likely get one eventually. Last Monday I got stuck at a jam session trying to play a song in key of C with no F key harp. The Seydel sessions are somewhat comparable to the SP20 ( I do own a set of SP20s). But also check their other models as most of them provide a low F harp.
